【口语积累】
1. 研究生入学考试 postgraduate entrance exam
“研究生”就是postgraduate，“入学”我们可以用admission或者entrance来表示，考试用exam或test都可以，因此，研究生入学考试可以说成postgraduate entrance exam或postgraduate admission test，最简单的直接用Kaoyan exam来表示也是可以的。
“考研”的“考”可以用“参加”的意思来表达，比如：participate，take part in，take；也可以用“注册”的意思来表达，比如：sign up to或register to。
I will be taking the postgraduate admission test next week.
我下周要参加考研。
The Kaoyan exam is an important milestone for many Chinese students who want to pursue further education.
考研考试对于许多想要深造的中国学生来说是一个重要的里程碑。

2. 卷王 cut-throat
“内卷”的说法我们在213期中讲过，这里再给大家介绍几种表示竞争的说法：competitive（竞争的）、cut-throat（竞争激烈的）、dog eat dog（竞争残酷的）。

心理学是最难考的专业之一。
Graduates have to fight for jobs in a highly competitive market.
毕业生不得不在竞争激烈的市场上奋力争取找到工作。

3. 最吸金专业 most lucrative major
当我们说一个专业好，往往指的是它的就业前景（career prospect）。lucrative是“赚钱多的”，所以“最吸金专业”可以说the most lucrative major，或the highest-paying major。而描述“天坑”专业，可以用the most regretted major（最令人后悔的专业）或worst-paying major（薪资最低的专业）。

计算机工程就业前景最好，未来薪资高。
Each major has pros and cons in their own respective fields. But STEM majors fare better in the job market than humanities majors.

4. 上岸 admitted to
我们曾在202期中讲过“上岸”可以用secure，指“经过努力获得，取得，实现”。这里考研上岸指的是“考上”某所学校，“被录取”，我们还可以用get admitted/accepted to，get in等。
I got into Harvard!
我被哈佛录取啦！
I got accepted into my dream university, and I couldn't be happier.
我被自己的梦校录取啦，我太开心啦。
He didn't get an offer from his first-choice university.
他没有被第一志愿的大学录取。
After months of hard work and preparation, I was finally admitted to Peking university.
