近日边玩游戏边学英语，你想试试吗？最近，剧本杀行业卷出一批黑马——英语剧本杀，玩游戏的同时顺便把口语练了，受到不少玩家追捧。据了解，英语剧本杀一般是线上进行，分为不同难度级别，口语比较差的同学可以选“小白本”，主持人还会分享一些剧本杀常用的英文短语和句式，剧本也是英文版，相当于16.9元做了英文阅读理解，外加两小时沉浸式练口语，不少玩家都觉得体验不错。也有口语比较差的同学表示：坐下仨小时，只能憋出四句话“not me”、“is he”、“I don't know”、“why”……你怎么看？今天我们不妨就来学学“剧本杀”的相关英语。

【口语积累】

1. 剧本杀 Scripted Murder

script作动词有“写剧本”的意思，因此这里的Scripted Murder指的就是“基于剧本的谋杀”，也就是说这些谋杀是虚拟出来的。murder也可以用homicides来代替，homicide是一个比较正式的用词，指的是“（蓄意）杀人罪”。还可以说Scripted Killer或者Scripted Mysteries，mystery指的是“疑案”。由于剧本杀都是角色扮演游戏，所以也可以用Live Action Role Playing来表示，简称LARP。

Scripted Killer is a great way to break the ice and get to know new people.

剧本杀是破冰和认识新人的好方法。

In Scripted Murder, the players take on different roles, such as detectives, suspects, and witnesses, to create an immersive murder investigation experience.

2. 英语小白 a beginner in English

想用英语表达自己英语不太好，还是“小白”，除了用beginner这个词，还可以用novice，它指的是“初学者，新手”。除此之外，还有多种表达方式，例如用not very proficient（不太熟练），limited grasp（掌握有限），以及not confident（不太自信）等，但是My English is very poor在英语中不太常见。

I apologize if I make any mistakes. I'm still a beginner in English.

如果我犯了任何错误，我向你道歉。我还是个英语初学者。

I'm a total novice when it comes to English.

I'm afraid I may have trouble understanding complex English conversations.

3. 顺便 on the side

英文如何表达做某事的同时“顺便”把另一件事做了呢？给大家总结了几个用法：on the side，“顺便”，或者as a side task，“作为附带任务”，这里side指的是“次要的”；in passing，“顺带的”；incidentally，“偶然，附带地”。

I was in the neighborhood, so I dropped off the package on the side.

我正好在附近，所以顺便把包裹送了。

While working on the project, I also completed the report as a side task.

在做项目的同时，我顺带也做了一份报告。

I was at the store to buy groceries and incidentally picked up some stationery as well.

我在商店买食品，顺便也买了一些文具。

I mentioned the idea in passing during our meeting.

开会时，我顺便提到了这个想法。

4. 剧本杀常用话术（英文版）

I have an alibi for that time. I was with *** the whole time.

我有不在场证明。那段时间我一直和***在一起。

I saw *** acting suspiciously near the crime scene.

我看到***在案发现场附近表现得很可疑。

I found a clue that points to ***. It seems like they have something to hide.

我找到了一个指向***的线索，看起来他们有什么隐瞒的东西。

I think *** is the killer because their behavior has been inconsistent throughout the game.

我认为***是杀手，因为他们在整个游戏过程中的行为不一致。

Let's vote together and eliminate [character's name]. They seem to have a strong motive for the murder.
