Harry looked from their petrified faces to the red envelope.
哈利看着他们惊恐的神色，又望望那只红信封。
“What's a Howler?” he said.
“什么是吼叫信？”他问。
But Ron's whole attention was fixed on the letter, which had begun to smoke at the corners.
可是罗恩的注意力全都集中在信上，信封的四角已经开始冒烟。
“Open it,” Neville urged. “It'll all be over in a few minutes —”
“快打开，”纳威催促着，“只有几分钟……”
Ron stretched out a shaking hand, eased the envelope from Errol's beak, and slit it open.
罗恩伸出颤抖的手，小心翼翼地从埃罗尔嘴里取出那只信封，把它撕开了。
Neville stuffed his fingers in his ears.
纳威用手指堵住了耳朵，
A split second later, Harry knew why.
哈利马上就知道为什么了。
He thought for a moment it had exploded; a roar of sound filled the huge hall, shaking dust from theceiling.
一开始他以为是爆炸了，巨大的响声充满整个礼堂，把天花板上的灰尘都震落了下来。

“……偷了汽车，他们要是开除你，我一点儿都不会奇怪，看我到时候怎么收拾你。你大概压根儿就没想过，我和你爸爸发现车子没了时是什么心情……”
Mrs. Weasley's yells, a hundred times louder than usual, made the plates and spoons rattle on thetable, and echoed deafeningly off the stone walls.
是韦斯莱夫人的喊声，比平常响一百倍，震得桌上的盘子和勺子格格直响，四面石墙的回声震耳欲聋。
People throughout the hall were swiveling around to see who had received the Howler, and Ron sank solow in his chair that only his crimson forehead could be seen.
全礼堂的人都转过身来看是谁收到了吼叫信，罗恩缩在椅子里，只能看到一个通红的额头。
