Lesson 47:
Fishing With Danny
May 23 Dear Mum and Dad,Last week,Jenny,Danny and I had planned

a big journey.
We were going to travel across Canada by plane and train.
But Uncle David took us camping instead.
We left at five o'clock on Saturday morning.
I thought it would be fun.I had never slept in a tent before!
Uncle David kept saying,We'll have a good time!
But I didn't enjoy myself very much.
At lunchtime,some ants ate our picnic.
Uncle David got lost on the way to the campground.
Then it took us an hour to put up the tent.
I missed my bed at home!I didn't even have a pillow!
We went fishing on a lake the next morning.
Uncle David said we had to catch our supper
We fished,and fished and fished.
Danny tried to catch a fish with his hands.He fell in the lake.
When he tried to climb back in the boat,we all fell in the

lake!
How many fish do you think we caught?Five?Three?No.
We caught zero!Danny was scared.He asked Uncle David
Does this mean we can't have any supper?
Uncle David laughed,Of course not!We got in the car,
and he took us to a restaurant.We all ate fish.
It was delicious!
