第一、情景口语

1. 情景：你的一个同事总有机会接近你公司总经理的秘书，凭借他的机灵圆滑，可以拐弯抹角从秘书嘴巴套出很多暂时不公开的会议决定或其他信息等等。

句型：Sb can get out something out of someone.

某人能够从某人那里套出某事。

操练：My friend called John always gets chances to be close to the secretary at our company and gets a lot of secret informations out of her.

2. 情景：你在单位里和你的一个同事能力相当，可是你总是是一个兵而受到他的指挥，这使得你很郁闷。有个朋友听说你的同事准备离职了，告诉你要立马找关系活动活动，跟领导紧密接触而得到这个职位，在你的同事前脚一走，你后脚就要跟上拿下这份工作。

句型：Sb gets his foot in the door when someone is gone.

操练：You must get get your foot in the door to get the job when Mary is gone who is always ordering you around.

第二、口语表达

1. 表述某人的嘴巴很紧，对事情总是守口如瓶，可以这样说：

Sb will not say a word.

2. 表述做成功一件事情不只是只有一种办法，有很多办法，我们中文常说“条条大路通罗马”，在英文中这样说：

There's more than one way to skin a cat.

1. talk through：详细讨论，讨论清楚

e.g. He and I have talked through this whole tricky problem.

他和我把这个棘手的问题整个儿都讨论清楚了。

e.g. It had all seemed so simple when they'd talked it through, so logical.

等他们把问题说清楚了才发现原来一切如此简单、如此合乎常理。

2. on the way back from：在从......回来的路上

e.g. On her way back from the fields, she suddenly doubled over with labor pains.

从地里回来时，她突然一阵阵痛，不由得蹲了下去。

e.g. On the way back from the embassy, Kathy and Evan stop in a city park.

3. behind one’s back：背地里

e.g. Say nice things to a person's face, but play devil with him behind his back.

当面奉承，背后捣鬼。

4. get rid of：除掉，摆脱

e.g. He hoped in this way to get rid of the troublesome prisoner.

他指望这样除掉这个讨厌的囚犯。

e.g. How to get rid of the difficulties is still a great problem.
