【核心短语】an article

【解词释义】an article的原意是“文章”“条款”或“物品”。后来用它来指“任何卑鄙的人”。大概是由于大多数可鄙之人都诡计多端，因此该短语都引申为“聪明的人”或“机灵的人”。

【典型范例1】You are an article and you cannot be taken in by such a rogue.
