U.S. government studies show 2014 warmest year on record

2014 was the warmest year on record. That's according to separate studies by U.S. space agency NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. They say the 10 warmest years ever on record have all taken place since 1997, and that the finding bolsters the argument that people are altering the Earth's climate.
