苏州街
The street refers to the shopping area built along Suzhou River (or Rear Lake) in the style of the waterscape of southern China.
苏州街指的是建在苏州河(或后湖)的仿江南水乡风格的购物区。
In the time of Garden of Clear Ripples the riverbanks were lined up with shops of jades and antiques,silk, cakes,tea,and jewelry.

In 1860 it was burnt off by the foreign powers,and the present street is the restoration in 1986.
