Twenty five years ago, Ray Anderson, a single parent with a one-year-old son witnessed a terrible accident which took place when the driver of a truck ran a red light and collided with the car of Sandra Jenkins.

25年前,雷·安德森,拥有一个一岁大的儿子的单身父亲,目击了一场恐怖的车祸。该车祸发生的情景时一名卡车司机闯红灯后与桑德拉·詹金斯的车相撞。
The impact of the collision killed Sandra instantly. But her three-month-old daughter was left trapped in the burning car.
这一车祸使得桑德拉当场殒命。但是她三岁大的女儿则被困在燃烧的汽车里。
While others looked on in horror, Anderson jumped out of his vehicle and crawled into the car through the shattered rear window to try to free the infant.
就当其他人惊恐的看着这一切的时候,安德森跳出了他的车,并从那辆汽车破碎的后玻璃窗中爬了进去,试图拯救那个婴儿。
Seconds later, the car was enclosed in flames.
几秒钟之后,这辆汽车被火焰所包围。
But to everyone's amazement, Anderson was able to pull the baby to safety.
令所有人吃惊的是,安德森竟然成功将婴儿安全救出。
While the baby was all right, Anderson was seriously injured.
但是当婴儿平安无事的时候,安德森则被严重烧伤。
Two days later he died. But his heroic act was published widely in the media.
两天以后,安德森死了。但是他的英雄事迹则被灭提广泛报道。
His son was soon adopted by relatives. The most remarkable part of the story unfolded only last week.
他的儿子后来被亲戚们收养。这件故事最引人注目的一部分在上周刚刚上演。
Karen and her boyfriend Michael were looking through some old boxes when they came across some old newspaper clippings.
卡伦和她的男朋友迈克尔在收拾一些旧盒子时,偶然发现了一些旧剪报。
"This is me when I was a new born baby. I was rescued from a burning car. But my mother died in the accident," explained Karen.
卡伦解释道;“这是我还是个新生儿时候的照片。我是从一辆燃烧的汽车中被救出来的。但是我的母亲则在车祸中丧生了。”
Although Michael knew Karen's mother had died years earlier, he never fully understood the circumstances until he skimmed over the newspaper article.
虽然迈克尔以前就知道卡伦的母亲是早年间去世的,但是直到他浏览过这些报纸的时候,他才明白了事情的具体情况。
To Karen's surprise, Michael was absorbed in the details of the accident.
令卡伦吃惊的是,迈克尔被这场事故的细节所吸引。
And he began to cry uncontrollably.
他开始控制不住的哭泣。
Then he revealed that the man that pulled Karen from the flames was the father he never knew.
之后他表示,这个将卡伦从火中救出的男人正是他从未见过的父亲。
The two embraced and shed many tears, recounting stories told to them about their parents.
这两个人流着泪拥抱在一起,讲述着那些被别人告知的关于他们父母的故事。
