Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapar, 26, was allegedly kidnapped and beheaded by two actors, in an attempt to extort money from her family, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Amit Jaiswal and his lover Preeti Surin allegedly decided to kidnap Thapar after listening to her boast about her family's wealth and status. They allegedly invited her on a trip with them to Gorakhpur, where they held her hostage and sent a message to Thapar's parents demanding 1,500,000 Rupees.

Thapar's mother put 60,000 Rupees into her daughter's account for her kidnappers to withdraw, but Thapar was allegedly killed soon after. She was strangled to death, beheaded, and her body was dumped at two different sites, as her killers made their way back to Mumbai.
