Seeing no scorn or repugnance in her face, the object of her charity bent over her as she asked the question, and pressed her lips against her cheek. Once more she caught her arm, and covered her eyes with it; and then was gone.	“您允许我亲亲您吗？”
Gone into the deepening night, and howling wind, and pelting rain; urging her way on towards the mist-enshrouded city where the blurred lights gleamed; and with her black hair, and disordered head-gear, fluttering round her reckless face.	这位接受了施舍的妇女看到哈里特脸上没有流露出任何轻蔑与嫌恶的神情，就在提出请求之后弯下身去，把嘴唇紧贴在她的脸颊上。她又一次抓住她的手，遮住她的眼睛，然后离开了。
