Billionaire Alisher Usmanov's investment inAlibaba(BABA) has soaredmore than 500 percent since he invested in the group, he told CNBC, adding thathe has not sold any of his stake in the Chinese e-commerce giant.
亿万富翁阿利舍尔·乌斯马诺夫对全美广播公司财经频道说，自投资阿里巴巴以来，他的投资收益已经超过500%。他还说，他尚未出售从中国电子商务巨头那里购买的任何一支股票。
Usmanov's holding in Alibaba is not publicand the tech investor, Russia'srichest man worth $18.5 billion according to Forbes' ranking of billionaires,declined to comment on how much money he made from the investment.

But asked what the percentage upside ofhis investment in the group was, Usmanov said there was nomodest way to describe it. "I think more than 500 percent," hesaid.

Usmanov's stake in Alibaba was "notbig, but big enough for us," he said.

The head of Usmanov's asset-managementcompany USM Advisors LLC told Bloomberg earlier this year that the billionairehad reduced his stake in Facebook (FB) to focus on Chinesecompanies in his portfolio of foreign investments. The size and value of thestake were not disclosed.

"I admire Facebook, but I said'arrivederci' Facebook," Usmanov told CNBC, implying he had sold hisentire stake but without elaborating.

He has invested in Chinese low-costsmartphone maker Xiaomi, arguing it is a "future technology giant".

"They have become a major company in China, the mostsuccessful since Huawaei," Usmanov said. "We are great believers inthis company and we're always been prepared to invest, make an investment intothis company. We know the creator of this company very well. And we'll keepinvesting in such companies."

Usmanov said he is also turning hisattention to technology investments in India, particularly in onlinetrade.
