Naked tourists caused quake?
游客“裸照”引发地震?
A troupe of Western tourists who posed nude on a "sacred" Malaysian mountain disrespected the site's spirits and caused an earthquake on the peak, the local government claimed.
马来西亚政府认为，一批西方游客在马来西亚一座"圣山"上拍裸照，对山灵不敬，因此导致所在山峰发生地震。
At least 16 people died in the 5.9-magnitude quake on Mount Kinabalu in eastern Sabah state Friday.
沙巴州东部的基纳巴卢山5日发生5.9级地震，至少16人在地震中丧生。
"There is almost certainly a connection. We have to take this as a reminder that local beliefs and customs are not to be disrespected," said Sabah's Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.
沙巴州首席副长官基廷安表示："几乎可以肯定(这两者之间)存在联系。这就是对我们的警示，不能亵渎当地的信仰和习俗。"
The tourists will be banned from ever coming back to the state before they are allowed to go home, said Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.
旅游文化环境部长曼朱称，这些游客在被允许回国前，将被禁止再次返回沙巴州。
