Jamaican sprint champion and nine-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt says he will run his last race in his home country at next year's Racers Grand Prix.

Bolt also confirmed last Friday on Television Jamaica's "Smile Jamaica" that next year's World Championships in London will be his last major competitive appearance.

"Yes, I am definitely going to retire after the World Championships in London, that will be my last one," Bolt said.

The 30-year-old said next year's Racers Grand Prix will be his last race in front of local fans.

Bolt won the 100-meter race, the 200-meter race, and the 4×100 meter relay at three consecutive Olympic Games.

He is also an 11-time World Champion, wining consecutive World Championships in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 4×100 meter relay from 2009 to 2015, with the exception of a false start in the 100-meter race in 2011.
