The Lucky Taxi company launched the campaign on Oct 15 to create greater enthusiasm for Halloween in the city on Kyushu in Japan.

From Oct. 29 to 31, drivers will put on special make-up to further "scare" and delight passengers and pedestrians.

Their cars are specially painted for the occasion.

"Some passengers are surprised at how gaudy the taxi interior is," said one driver, Mitsuru Yamaki, 58.
