The best way to treat a maidenhair fern is to stand the pot containing the fern in a fancy vase with a saucer inverted at the bottom. Pour in water to the depth of about half-way up the flower-pot. The fern should be kept in a cool place and not allowed to get dry. Never water one of these ferns by placing it under the tap.
