A model is taking legal action against Hyundai, claiming she was fired by the car giant for having a period at work.
日前，一名模特将现代公司告上了法庭，她声称自己因在工作时来例假而被该汽车巨头开除了。
Rachel Rickert, 27, claims she was representing the company at the New York International Auto Show when she had to rush to the bathroom to change her tampon.
27岁的瑞秋·里克特表示，事情发生时自己正在纽约国际车展上代表现代公司进行展出，期间突然需要去洗手间换卫生巾。
She did not make it on time, and said she needed a new uniform as a result.
由于没能及时更换卫生巾，她最后只能要求公司提供一套新制服。
Instead, her complaint claims, she was told to go home because of her 'period situation'.
里克特抱怨称，公司当时非但没有这么做，反而告诉她，因为“例假情况”，她可以回家去了。
Documents filed with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claim she had been at work for three hours when she was allowed a bathroom break.
里克特随后向美国公平就业机会委员会提交了一份文件，表明自己在被批准去洗手间之前已经工作了三个小时。
After she was sent home, Rickert says, she received a call saying she was being let go because Hyundai had learned of her 'period situation'.
里克特表示，自己回家之后接到了一通电话，大致内容就是说她之所以被辞退，是因为现代公司已经听说了她正在来例假。
She told the New York Post: 'It's unacceptable. You're not a robot. You have to use the bathroom especially when you're on your period.'
她在接受《纽约邮报》采访时表示：“这是无法接受的。我们都不是机器人，因此都有去洗手间的需要，尤其是来例假的时候。”
'They just act like we're not human. I'm not going to be ashamed or shamed of having my period.'
“他们完全不把我们当人看，我不会因为我的生理期而感到羞愧。”
The lawsuit targets Hyundai and Experiential Talent, which had hired Rickert.
据悉，里克特起诉的对象是雇用自己的现代公司和Experiential Talent中介公司。
Experiential Talent declined to comment, and a Hyundai spokesman said: 'We take any complaint like this seriously and will respond appropriately once we have a chance to investigate the merits of the claim.'
Experiential Talent方面拒绝对此发表评论，而现代公司的一位发言人则表示：“对于这样的投诉，我们每一次都高度重视，一旦有机会调查到本次事件中究竟孰是孰非，我们一定会给出一个恰当的回应。”
