Tourism expo in Shanghai signals strong economic recovery
上海旅游产业博览会（一期）精彩开幕
A comprehensive tourism expo, Tourism Plus Shanghai 2023, opened on Tuesday. About 5,000 exhibitors participated in the expo.
3月28日，2023上海旅游产业博览会（一期）开幕，吸引约5000家企业参展。
The expo includes two stages, with the first one running from March 28 to 31 and the second from May 29 to June 1.
今年的展览分为两期举办，第一期展览于3月28日至31日举办，第二期展览将于5月29日至6月1日举办。
"The return of large-scale exhibitions makes us more confident about the development of the tourism economy," said Sun Jian, general manager of BTG Homeinns Hotels (Group) Co., Ltd., one of China's major hotel groups.
首旅如家酒店集团总经理孙坚说：“大型展会回归让我们对旅游经济的发展更有信心！”
Sun said the occupancy rate of the hotels under the group in first-tier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai increased by 30 percent year on year from January to February 2023.
孙坚介绍说，今年1月至2月，首旅如家旗下位于北京、上海等一线城市的酒店出租率同比增长超过30%。
