出生于美国休斯敦的Hilary，2001年因为主演迪士尼频道的影集《新成长烦恼Lizzie McGuire》而人气爆红，成为全球青少年心目中最优质的甜美偶像。2003年华特迪士尼制片发表了《新成长烦恼电影版 The Lizzie McGuire Movie》，将她带上大银幕。之后陆续参与了《灰姑娘的玻璃手机 Cinderella Story》、《小鬼特务 Agent Cody Banks》、《超完美男人 Perfect Man》、《儿女一箩筐 Cheaper by the Dozen》、与《拜金女 Material Girls》等片演出，一直到进军歌坛，成为专辑销量至今已突破一千三百万张的白金认证歌手，Hilary一路走来总是举止高雅合宜。今天Hilary依旧是以她一贯的甜美形象和闪耀在镁光灯下，在Hollywood唱片集团旗下发表最新专辑《爱的尊严 Dignity》。
在19岁时，Hilary已是一个在歌唱以及创作上皆臻成熟的歌手。她的首张冠军专辑《甜心日记 Metamorphosis》创下四白金的销售佳绩，第二张同名专辑和《神采风扬 (新歌+精选) Most Wanted》共计卖出三百万张。Hilary拥有〈So Yesterday〉、〈Come Clean〉、〈Fly〉与〈Wake Up〉等多首Top 40金曲。《神采风扬 (新歌+精选) Most Wanted》是她第二张冠军作品，并且在冠军榜上停留了二周之久。从这张专辑开始，她加强对个人风格与音乐的探索，在音乐录影带〈Wake Up〉中，她戴上假发并尝试多种不同装扮。〈Beat of My Heart〉里的她则是展露时尚风情，音乐更偏重舞曲节奏与动感走向。
