TIMBER is one of Pitbull's most successful songs.It is again the usual sort of brainless house-hop song that people like to listen to when they don't really want to listen to music.In the music video, this Miami rapper teaming up with Ke$ha and an army of scantily-clad dancers makes the song a chaotic, beautiful mess.The track is very catchy. Once the hook, sung by Ke$ha, penetrates your head you can’t remove it for a couple of hours.TIMBER是Pitbull最为成功的歌曲之一。这首歌走的是依然是不费脑力的舞曲风格，适合在不想听歌的状态时听。这首歌的MV里，Pitbull与Ke$ha以及一大群清凉舞者一起演绎了一种凌乱狂野的美。Timber的歌词很朗朗上口，特别是Ke$ha演唱的那部分，一旦听过，数小时挥之不去。

For a song with the chorus "Let's make a night you won't remember/ I'll be the one you can't forget," the video is expectedly wild.In the video, Pitbull dances with a brunette and pets sharks while Ke$ha gropes herself and rides a mechanical bull. One of the most surreal scenes is that of a pig swimming in the ocean. None of it really makes any sense , but that's really the point of a night you won't remember.

The most obvious unique element to "Timber" is that wailing harmonica. It teaches us that country and folk sounds are not incompatible with today's electronic dance music.Pitbull adds a, "Swing your partner round and round" refrain to turn the whole record into some sort of dance pop hoedown. Lyrically, there is not a lot new here. However Pitbull does deliver one of his best self-celebratory lines yet. "Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane. No, it's just me, ain't a damn thing changed."

To dig deeper,in some way,“Timber” is a dangerously sexist and hedonistic song objectifying women as sex objects and boasting about money and status.In the first rap about objectifying women our boy Pitbull says he likes his women “face down booty up.” But before that he gets them to do something else: “I have them like Miley Cyrus, clothes off twerking.”The second rap is the money part. Well, sort of because “money ain’t a thing” Pitbull tells us. He’s the kind of dude who lives in hotels and he’s “club hopping like Lebron now.”
