有着印第血统的美国创作型歌手Shawn·Colvin以一首Sunny Came Home走入大众的视野。有人形容Shawn的音乐是花红叶绿中的那一阵清风，带着一种纯朴和本色拂过听众的耳朵，那种清新和亲切也许正是她能打败当时主流音乐成为格莱美奖大赢家的主要原因。可以说，Sunny Came Home应该是Shawn音乐生涯中最为成功的单曲。1998年这首作品分别获得了当年格莱美的‘年度最佳歌曲’以及‘年度最佳录音’两项大奖。特别喜欢歌曲在12秒以及后面1分21秒时出现的那一段伴奏，觉得是有魔力的，那种美能把一个人全身的细胞都唤醒。但是歌词是阴郁和隐晦的，跟歌曲那清新欢快的伴奏形成了鲜明的对比。仇恨与毁灭，以音乐的形式叙述出来，少了一份黑暗和惊悚！
