很多人都把这首歌曲误认为是电影《卡萨布兰卡》的主题曲，包括我也是一样。我是Canace凯娜丝，这里是可可《听歌学英语》。其实《Casablanca》这首歌曲根本不是电影《卡萨布兰卡》中的音乐，歌词里出现多次的as time goes by才是《卡萨布兰卡》电影的主题曲《时光流逝》，而a kiss is not a kiss就是引用这首主题曲中的一句歌词。从歌词中可以看出这是描写一对情侣看《卡萨布兰卡》的心情。这首歌来自于Bertie Higgins，他的血管中流着葡萄牙，爱尔兰和德国的血液，有着诗人般的才情，也难怪这首歌是这么婉转，带着一些诗意的哀伤。
