Task1

  What kind of volunteer work would you like to do?

  Sample response:

  As far as I am concerned, the work of assisting traffic policemen to maintain the traffic order in our city once a week is the kind of volunteer work I would like to do . The reasons are as follows. Firstly , it is a meaningful work. There are more and more cars on the roads, traffic accidents happen frequently due to many people's behaviors of breaking traffic rules. So the more people do in directing the traffic, the fewer accidents that'll occur. Besides, I can also know better about the traffic rules by being a volunteer that I'll be much safer while walking and driving.

  Task2

  Some people prefer to work in an office setting, others prefer to work at home, which one do you prefer?

  Sample response:

  I prefer to work in an office setting. There are several reasons . Firstly, working in an office setting has more opportunities to learn. For instance, I can always learn a lot from my boss and my colleagues who have creative ideas and wonderful working skills. Especially when we work together to solve some big problems. I can improve myself much more quickly. Second of all, working in an office setting makes me feel I'm really working, which means I have a more serious attitude towards my job and gives me a great sense of value. Yet working at home can never bring me such kind of feeling.

  Task 3

  阅读:学校将停止poetry writing这门课,因为:1)人太少了;2)学生们可以到state university 学类似的课。

  听力:男生反对,因为:1)人数少是一件对学生有利的事情,这样一来会得到更多的关注;2)state university特别远,而且多数学生没有车,不方便。

  The student's letter suggests that the school should allow students to drink beverages in the library.

  Task 4

  阅读: reseachers are certain stimuli that can lead animals to do a corresponding behavior.

  听力:举例1:蟾蜍喜欢吃虫子,所以它们见到长得像虫子的东西都会去吃。如果人们拿一支铅笔在蟾蜍附近动的话,它们就会把铅笔当作虫子并进行攻击。

  举例2:goose会保护自己的蛋,所以如果人们把任何球体的东西扔到它们身边,它们就会将这个物体弄回自己的巢穴。

  Task5

  女生想选一门老师的经济学课,可是她还有其他四门课。S1:选择旁听这堂课。S2:下学期再选。

  Task6

  两种majority influence, 第一种是information influence,比如一帮朋友开车去某家餐厅但忘记路线了,朋友们都说直走,虽然你一开始想左转或右转,但最后还是放弃了。第二种是normative influence,比如和一帮人去看电影你很想和他们成为朋友,他们说这部电影很好,而你认为很糟糕,但是你还是会放弃自己之前的想法。
