203. 拉尔斯的游戏
Lars loved to play with his family. He liked, for instance, to spy on his dad in the mornings
拉尔斯喜欢和家人一起玩。比方说，他喜欢在早上暗中监视父亲，
when Dad was squinting at the newspaper reading the sports section. Then Lars would sneak up and stab his dad in the back with his finger!
这时他一般都在眯着眼看报纸上的体育专栏。然后拉尔斯悄悄溜到他跟前，用手指从背后偷袭父亲！
Dad would always spring up and chase Lars across the room, laughing. Lars loved it! He could spend hours on end wrestling with Dad!
父亲总是跳起来大笑着满屋追赶拉尔斯。拉尔斯就爱这样玩！他可以一连几个小时和父亲玩摔跤！
With his sister, Maja, Lars liked to squeeze into her closet and jump out and surprise her.
至于和妹妹马娅，拉尔斯喜欢挤进她的壁橱，然后跳出来吓她。
She would be alone at her blackboard spelling out words, stacking up blocks or playing with her teddy bears when Lars would make a small hiss.
她一般都是一个人在黑板上拼写单词、搭积木或玩她的玩具熊，这时拉尔斯便会弄出一些嘶撕声。
Maja would be afraid at first, but then she would remember that Lars always did this, come over to the closet and giggle when she opened it to see him sitting there!
马娅开始会害怕，然后她会想起拉尔斯总爱干这事，便走过去打开壁橱，看到拉尔斯坐在里面就咯咯直笑！
But Lars never stood a chance of scaring his older brother, Kai. Kai was older and Kai was cool!
可是拉尔斯从来就不可能吓着哥哥卡伊。卡伊比他大，而且酷得很！
And he always knew when Lars was up to something. One time Lars tried to burn a hole in Kai's shirt with a big magnifying glass from the sporting goods store.
只要拉尔斯一耍花招他便知道如何接招。有一次，拉尔斯想用从体育用品店买来的一个特大的放大镜在卡伊的衬衫上烧个洞。
When Kai felt something and turned around, Lars instead started the grass on fire! It spread like wildfire,
卡伊感到不对劲便转过身来， 结果拉尔斯把草点着了！火蔓延得很快，
but they got the hose and spread out a spray of water quick enough to put it out. They luckily stopped the fire just before it had spread to the woods!
不过他们找来水管，很快用水把火喷灭了。幸好他们及时把火弄灭了，不然就蔓延到树林了！
Lars wanted to spread his wings and fly away. He was so afraid that his dad would be angry.
由于害怕父亲生气，拉尔斯想充分发挥自己的才能溜之大吉。
But Dad just smiled, said he had done that once too and took away the magnifying glass!
可是父亲只是笑了笑，说自己也曾经干过这样的事，然后把放大镜给没收了！
