Fortunately, an agreement was reached later in the day at 3 p.m., and buses began running across the capital again.

The Seoul Bus union and management had been negotiating over a wage hike for three months, starting December 28th last year.

The union and the management were able to strike a deal at around Thursday 3 p.m. to raise wages by 4.48 percent for this year, and to give around 480 U.S. dollars as extra holiday pay, leading to the end of the strike.
