Hello, I'm Neil Nunes with the BBC News. The authorities in Nicaragua have arrested another candidate preparing to challenge the veteran President Daniel Ortega in elections later this year. Felix Maradiaga is the third presidential hopeful to be detained. Here's our America's editor Leonardo Rocha. Mr Maradiaga was held after being accused of terrorism and plotting against Nicaragua sovereignty and independence. He's been investigated under a controversial security law, approved by the government control parliament 6 months ago. Reports from Nicaragua say that he was badly beaten by police during his arrest, and that he's whereabouts now are unknown. Two other politicians who intend to challenge Mr Ortega in November's presidential elections have been detained over the past week.

The US Vice President Kamala Harris and the Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador have announced plans to boost economic investment in the region as part of a major effort to reduce illegal migration. There were speaking after talks in Mexico City. Ms Harry says Washington plans to help economic development in southern Mexico and in Central America, but acknowledged that the problem could not be fixed overnight. What I know to be clear is that if we are to address the issues that impact the southern border of the United States, and I've had a conversation with President Lopez Obrador, but also the southern border of Mexico. We have to have the ability to address the root causes of why people leave.

The Israeli government says it will now permit a flag-waving march by Jewish nationalists through Jerusalem, but has postponed the event until next week. On Monday, police rejected the planned route through the city's Muslim district because of safety concerns. The Palestinian militant movement Hamas had warned that the march could trigger a new round of violence following last week's event.Following last month's conflict, Israeli government has not publicly defined the route of next week's event.

Relatives of victims of Srebrenica massacre have welcomed the decision by a UN tribunal to uphold the genocide conviction of the former Bosnian Serb commander Ratko Mladic. He'll spend the rest of his life in jail. The former general had appealed against his conviction over atrocities committed during the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. His supporters have accused the tribunal of anti-Serb bias. Serge Brammertz led the case against Mr Mladic. We are not naive. We have seen that in the past, whatever decision is coming out of the Hague, that a number of politicians, a number individuals will continue glorifying convicted war criminals, will continue denying of the genocide.
