Mike: Hey! Watch where you're sitting, Miss. Piggy! There's not enough room on the sofa for you.

迈克:嘿!小母猪,看看你坐的位子!沙发都容不下你了。
Amanda: Put a sock in it! You need to shed a few kilograms as well.
阿曼达:闭嘴!别光说我,你也该减减肥了。
Mike: Well, I've been mulling that dilemma over actually. I read about the latest diet that promises rapid weight loss in only one week.

Amanda: Sounds like another ridiculous fad to me. I suppose you've got to wrap yourself in cellophane and sit in a sauna!

Mike: Very funny. Actually, it had something to do with eating fewer carbohydrates and more protein. Apparently that makes your body burn its fat supplies for energy.

Amanda: Hmm. Well, my doctor said that the best way to slim down is to think about your long-term health. Most people resort to crash diets, but let themselves go when they've finished. The whole point is to change the way you eat permanently.

Mike: I see. So, there's nothing wrong with eating whatever you like, but you should just slowly phase out the really deplorable stuff, like junk food.

Amanda: Basically that's it. My doctor's mantra is "Eat less, eat well, exercise more."

Mike: You've just got to keep at it then.

Amanda: Yeah. Dieting isn't for quitters.
