Another branch whipped down at them, twigs clenched like knuckles.
另外一根树枝向他们打过来，小枝条扭结在一起，像拳头一样。
'If that dog can get in, we can,' Harry panted, darting here and there, trying to find a way through the vicious, swishing branches,

Crookshanks darted forwards. He slithered between the battering branches like a snake and placed his front paws upon a knot on the trunk.
克鲁克山向前冲过去。它在枝条之间躲躲闪闪地穿行着，好像是条蛇，然后它把前爪搭在树干的一个节疤上。
Abruptly, as though the tree had been turned to marble, it stopped moving, Not a leaf twitched or shook.
突然，这棵树好像变成了大理石，不再动弹了，所有树叶都静止不动了。
'Crookshanks!' Hermione whispered uncertainly. She now grasped Harry's arm painfully hard. 'How did he know–?'
“克鲁克山！”赫敏低声叫着，拿不定主意似的。现在她把哈利的胳膊抓得很紧很痛。“它怎么会知道-？”
'He's friends with that dog,' said Harry grimly. 'I've seen them together, Come on – and keep your wand out.'
“它和那条狗是朋友，”哈利阴郁地说。“我看到过它们在一起，来吧，魔杖伸着别动。”
They covered the distance to the trunk in seconds, but before they had reached the gap in the roots, Crookshanks had slid into it with a flick of his bottle-brush tail.
几秒钟之内，他们就走到了树干旁边，但是在他们走到洞口以前，克鲁克山就已经把它那瓶刷似的尾巴一甩，先溜进去了。
Harry went next; he crawled forwards, headfirst, and slid down an earthy slope to the bottom of a very low tunnel.

Crookshanks was a little way along, his eyes flashing in the light from Harry's wand. Seconds later, Hermione slithered down beside him. 'Where's Ron?' she whispered in a terrified voice.
