Award winning actor Alan Alda announced on "CBS This Morning": "I haven't said in public until now that I've been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease."
Alda revealing he was diagnosed three and a half years ago, but decided to go public because he's noticed his finger twitching and thought: "It's probably only a matter of time before somebody does a story about this from a sad point of view, not where I am."
Alda rose to fame as Captain "Hawkeye" Pierce on the hit series 'M*A*S*H' from 1972-1983. He's won six Emmy awards and the same number Golden Globes.
