Anoushka and Charlie are in the office coffee lounge with Phil, the new employee.
C: so, Phil, have you got any plans for this evening?
P: hmm...I'm not sure. Another night spending some quality time with my television, I suppose.
C: well, if you're up for it, we're going to KTV with some friends tonight. You'd be more than welcome to join us.
P: really? Well...I don't know...I'm a bit shy sbout singing in front of other people. I've never done it before.
C: come on, give it a go. What's the worst that could happen?
P: Hmm...alright then. But I can't promise I'll sing!
Later that evening. Anoushka, Charlie, and Phil are having a few drinks with friends at KTV.
P: [sings loudly]...I did it myyyyyyyyyy way!
A: [whispers to Charlie] Charlie, how many songs has Phil done? That must be at least four or five in a row now...
P: that was number six.
A: I thought he said he was shy about singing?
P: well, it seems he's really come out of his shell! I wish he'd let someone else have a go. Jamie looks bored stiff and I think Ben's about to jet.
A: it wouldn't be so bad if he could sing in tune. His rendition of 'I will always love you' was atrocious. I almost lost the will to live.
P: [finishes singing] thank you, thank you, no need to applaud. For my next song, I'll be singing 'My heart will go on', by Celine Dion [clears his throat].
C: I think I'm going to need another drink.
