1【Bill and Hillary Clinton open Haitian industrial park】比尔和希拉里·克林顿开启海地工业园

-&aS;jMDn2a

TEXT:This industrial park in Haiti could provide progress for a nation grappling with instability. The 300 million dollar project was opened on Monday at an event presided over by Bill and Hillary Clinton. Long-term it's hoped the park will create 130,000 jobs and a much needed boost to a country still suffering from the 2010 earthquake. U.N. special envoy Bill Clinton said the project showed Haiti was no lost cause. SOUNDBITE: FORMER U.S. PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON SAYING (English): "What you see here today is an example of what works all over the world and a rebuke to those who say that progress is not possible or that government is always the problem or something else. What works everywhere in the world and every country and works at every income level is when the government and the private sector and the NGOs work together to build a stronger future of shared prosperity." Led by a South Korean textile company, the Caracol park is expected to grow as more companies move in. Located in the north, it could also shift focus away from the overcrowded capital of Port-au-Prince.

2【Americans weigh in on final presidential debate】总统终极辩论美国民众各抒己见

6Vibi;RKBW3#1zNvUPK

TEXT:The morning after President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney's third and final showdown --- this one one foreign policy --- reactions are mixed. Rudolph Milian, New Jersey voter saying: "I thought last night it just pretty much showed that both Romney and Obama are pretty much in sync with foreign policy." Neibert David, New York voter saying: "I looked at some of the debate and heard some feedback, him [Romney] agreeing with the president. I would like for him to clearly set out his agenda, what he would do differently than what is being done in the United States right now." More often than not, the debate veered back to the economy and jobs --- safer territory for a challenger debating an incumbent president. Ramir Baly, New York Voter saying: "The last time I saw it it was no different, it's more pointing fingers than talking about the topics." Mark Bednarz saying: "I'm still wondering who is the better candidate right now." Susan Mograbi saying: "Romney has pretty much reached his breaking point. He has no argument anymore and he never answers any questions straight up." While early polls show Obama as winning the debate, few expect this final debate to have the impact that the previous showdowns did. The latest Reuters Ipsos poll show the candidates tied at 46 percent each with 14 days to go before election day.
