Two UK women sentenced to 7 years for drug trafficking in Peru

Michaella McCollum from Northern Ireland and Melissa Reid from Scotland -- known in the media as the Peru two -- arrive in court for sentencing. The two twenty-year-olds were arrested at an airport here in Peru in August after 11 kilos of cocaine was found hidden in their luggage. Both women admitted trying to smuggle the cocaine worth around 2.3 million dollars.Lawyers said they had been jailed for nearly seven years each, but the sentences were reduced because of their guilty pleas.
