一.jump：n. 跳跃，跳动，上涨 v. 跳越，暴涨
【词义辨析】
jump, leap, spring, hop, bound, skip,
jump: 是普通用词，指用双脚向上跳，向下跳，或在同一平面上跳到有一定距离的某一点上，或跳过。
leap: 常可与jump换用，但侧重身体猛力向上升起并朝前急冲的动作，有时含突然的意味。
spring: 更强调有力和弹跳的运动。
hop: 指单脚短跳或双足猛力的动作。也指小鸟、青蛙等的跳。
bound: 多指向前向上或向下跳跃、奔跳。
skip: 指两脚交替轻轻地跳或跨的动作。
【例句用法】
1.I couldn't understand his lecture because he kept jumping from one topic to the next.
我听不懂他的演讲，他总是从一项内容跳到另一项内容。
2.The gang jumped an old woman in the subway.

二.correct：adj. 正确的，得体的 v. 改正，纠正
【词义辨析】
accurate, exact, precise, right, true, correct,
accurate: 指通过谨慎的努力达到符合事实或实际，侧重不同程度的准确性，与事实无出入。
exact: 着重在质与量方面的准确，语气比accurate强。
precise: 侧重极端准确，更强调细节的精确无误。
right: 使用广泛，可与这些词中的correct换用，但常暗示道德、理解、行动等方面的正确。
true: 暗指绝对准确，尤指复制品与原件丝毫不差。
correct: 最常用词，主要指按一定标准或规则来衡量，没有谬误和差错或无缺点错误。
correct, rectify, remedy, revise, amend,
correct: 指纠正或改正不正确、不真实或有缺点的东西。
rectify: 正式用词，意义较抽象，侧重指彻底改正偏离正确标准或规则的东西。
remedy: 正式用词，通常指在局部范围内进行纠正，尤指对困难或棘手问题的解决。
revise: 指通过仔细阅读、反复思考后而进行改正、订正或修订，使趋于完善。
amend: 书面语用词。指进行更正或改变，使之更好，符合更高的要求。
【词语用法】
1.correct可以作为“修改，纠正”的意思使用。
She has corrected the mistakes in the report.
她修改了报告里的错误。
2.correct的名词形式correction与conrrectness意思不同。correction是“改正，修正”的意思，而correctness则是指“正确性”。
The correction of the report took her three hours.
她用了三个小时来修正报告中的错误。
I am not sure the correctness of this point.
我不确定这个观点的正确性。
【例句用法】
1.Would that be correct?

2.I think his commentary on this issue is not correct.
