1. prolong

双语释义：make (sth) longer, esp in time; extend

[vt.] 延长（某事物）（尤指时间）

典型范例：They prolonged their visit by a few days.

他们把访问时间延长了几天。

2. heal

双语释义：make easier to bear

[vt.] 使好受一些

典型范例：Time heals all sorrows.

时间可化解一切忧伤。

3. underestimate

双语释义：make too low an estimate of (sb/sth)

[vt.] 过分低估（某人或某事物）

典型范例：Don't underestimate the difficulties of the work.

例：Relaxation exercises can free you up.

2. in some way：在某种意义上

嘉莉觉得这话多少含有贬低她的才能的意思。

3. agree with sb：同意某人的（说话，意见，或观点等）

例：I agree with you, but yet I can't consent.

4.scoff at：嘲笑，蔑视

例：Why do they scoff at the idea that he will retire next year?

People who are out of work cannot afford to scoff at any job.

5. all day：一天到晚

例：She is chaperoning her daughter all day.
