1.contagious adj. 蔓延的，传播的

如：He has contagious laughter.
他的笑声有一种很强的感染力。

Scarlet fever is highly contagious.
猩红热病传染性很强。

2.obscure 微暗的，模糊的，

如：The reasons why he did it are obscure.
不清楚，他为什么那样做。

The path grew more obscure in the fading light.
小径，在昏暗的光线下，显得越发模糊。

3.content with 满足于

如：Are you content with your present salary?
你对自己现在的薪水满意吗?

You should be well content with your daughter.
你应该对自己的女儿感到满意。

4.protective adj. 保护的，防卫的

如：He put his arm round her in a protective gesture.
他用一只手臂围着来保护她。

The government decided to impose a protective tariff on foreign cars.
政府决定对进口汽车，征收保护税。
