In china, the tiger is known as the "King of all Animals".
在中国，老虎被称为“万兽之王”。
But according to legend, in ancient times, there was a lion but no tiger in the 12 animals of the zodiac.
但根据传说，在古代，十二生肖中有狮子，而没有老虎。
Why was that?
这是为什么呢?
The Chinese zodiac lion had a ferocious nature, wantonly breaking the laws of the forest with some other beasts.

The Guard Tiger was a "nobody" at the very beginning.
虎守卫一开始是一个“无名小卒”。
Though he was powerful he lacked hunting skills, so he was often teased by the other animals.
虽然他很强壮，但缺乏狩猎技能，所以他经常被其他动物取笑。
He heard that there was a hidden master in the forest—the Black Cat, who was very good at hunting, so he secretly began to learn from the Cat.
他听说森林里有一个隐藏的大师——黑猫，他非常擅长打猎，所以他偷偷地开始向黑猫学习。
Day by day, the Tiger's character became more and more like the Black Cat's: cold, calm, seizing the right timing to attack with full force.

As well as some...uh...special little habits.

Gradually the Tiger no longer acted like the big but brainless monster he used to be.
