Chinese Nationals Leave Mexico City in Chartered Plane
79 Chinese citizens have left Mexico City, aboard a chartered flight, sent by the Chinese government.
Dong Xiaomeng, is a passenger on the flight.
"I would be a little scared if it was a regular flight. But this flight is different. As what I have learnt from the Internet, the Southern Airlines has made a lot of efforts including staffing doctors and sterilizing. So I am reassured. I think I am so lucky that I can take this plane to return home. Many passengers are gratified with the charted flight sent by the Chinese government."
The plane is heading towards Tijuana, the northern city on the U.S.-Mexico border, to lift 20 more Chinese, before returning to China.
China sent the chartered flight, after agreeing with Mexico, to send chartered flights to each other's countries, to bring back their stranded nationals.
A Health Ministry expert, and airline doctors, will closely monitor the health conditions of the passengers.
