While the graduates of 2011 were busy job hunting, their senior Zheng Sheng, was not acting as a “role model.” Having worked for six months in Shanghai, Zheng Sheng decided to quit his job, pack his bag, and cycle to London. “I heard that Europeans can have a gap year to experience life. But in China, the year between college and work cannot be wasted,” said Zheng, 23. “I wanted to prove that a person with a common background and without much money can still make his dream come true.”
