Grandfather and I
watched the donkey.
It was still in the middle of the road.
Then a policeman arrived.
“Whose donkey is it?” he asked.
“It’s farmer Gimble’s,” I said.
“Look, he’s coming.”
Then farmer Gimble arrived.
“You must move your donkey,”
the policeman said.
Farmer Gimble pulled
and the policeman pushed,
but the donkey didn’t move.
We laughed
but the car drivers
were very cross!
