Sochi Olympics opening ceremony's final rehearsal carried out

The opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics is one of the main highlights of the games. And the final rehearsal was carried out at the Fisht Stadium in the city.

The ceremony is themed around Russian culture. The rehearsal had several episodes, each of them portraying a certain period and aspect of Russian culture. Russian pride, classical music, ballet, the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russian avant-garde art and architecture had their own distinct representations.

The rehearsal ended with a ten-minute firework brightening the night. The lighting of the Olympic flame and the final songs were kept under wraps.
