在那张大红大紫的《All the Right Reasons》面世三年之后，加拿大当红摇滚乐队Nickelback交出了他们的全新作品《Dark Horse》，在美国唱片市场上市首周，《Dark Horse》依靠32万6千张的首周销量成绩在本周的Billboard 200专辑榜中获得亚军。Nickelback的上张专辑、2005年的《All the Right Reasons》在Billboard 200专辑榜中一共不可思议的停留了156周，到目前为止的总销量已经接近700万张。05年十月，《All the Right Reasons》在上榜首周就获得了Billboard 200专辑榜的冠军，首周销量也高达31万7千张。

在这张新作中，Nickelback请到了曾为AC/DC、Def Leppard、Shania Twain以及Backstreet Boys打造畅销专辑的超级制作人Robert John "Mutt" Lange。但十分遗憾的是，Robert John "Mutt" Lange的到来并没有为Nickelback带来新鲜血液，这支已经满足于电台热播的摇滚名团在这张新专辑中依然没有体现出丝毫的进取心。可以说，这张《Dark Horse》与《All the Right Reasons》并没有什么区别。就连美国媒体都曾对Nickelback专辑的大卖感到不解。

今年七月，Nickelback乐队已经与巨头Live Nation签订了一份合约，在完成了与Roadrunner的合约之后，Nickelback乐队即将履行这份合约规定的诸多内容。明年初，Nickelback有望开始举办由Live Nation策划的大型巡演。
