Thousands of Romanian police officers took to the streets of Bucharest in a protest against work conditions.
About 5,000 officers turned out in force to call for a better compensation system for their families, in case something happened to them whilst on duty.
Chief Inspector Gruia is the vice-president of the Police Union.
"We are here today in protest against the authorities and the government which is not respecting our rights and this has been happening already for more than 6 years."
Their march was supported by the European Confederation of Police which is the umbrella organization of 33 police unions.
Representatives from police unions of other countries, including France, Spain and Bulgaria, also took part in the march.
