China has called for a pragmatic relationship based on the real needs with all Arab nations.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi made the remarks while attending the third ministerial meeting of China-Arab Cooperating Forum which ended in Bahrain on Wednesday.
The foreign ministers or representatives from 22 Arab countries attended the meeting.
The meeting has adopted a communique, an action plan for 2008 to 2010 and two cooperation documents on environment protection and investment.
In the communique, Arab nations stressed that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China and that they oppose "Taiwan independence" in any form.
Yang Jiechi, for his part, said this meeting improved and systematized some cooperation mechanism within the forum.
"With joint efforts from both sides, the forum has setup a framework for increasing political, economic and cultural relations and become an effective mechanism to enhance dialogue between the two sides."
Yang said promoting cooperation is the foremost aim of the forum and both sides should address their real needs in the cooperation.
"The two sides should make it a priority to boost bilateral cooperation based on each need. We should focus our cooperation on energy, investment, engineering project and human resource development."
Yang Jiechi said China will help to train 1,000 personnel of management and technology for Arab countries every year in the next three years. China will also make joint efforts with the Arab countries to improve their trade structure and resolve the trade imbalance.
Bahrain's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Muhammad bin Mubarak al-Khalifa spoke highly of the role the forum has played to boost the bilateral cooperation.
"The meeting is a new starting point of Arab-China cooperation and it is the common goal to set up a new partnership between Arab countries and China so as to achieve a sustainable development of bilateral ties."
Since its establishment in 2004, the China-Arab Cooperation Forum has become a platform to strengthen dialogue and mutually-beneficial cooperation between the two sides.
The fourth ministerial meeting of the forum will be held in Beijing in 2010.
