一般现在时：

　　1、表示经常发生或是反复发生的动作或存在的状态：常和always, usually, often, sometimes, every day, every week等时间状语连用。

　　例：She visits her parents every day. 她每天去看她的父母。

　　2、表示普遍的、永恒的真理。由于是众所周知的客观事实，所以一般不用时间状语。

　　例：The moon goes round the earth. 月亮围绕地球转。

　　例：Summer follows spring. 春天之后是夏天。

　　3、一般现在时常可表示按规定、时间表、计划或安排要发生的事情，通常都有一个表示未 来时间的状语……

　　例：The show begins at seven and ends at ten. 表演起点开始，十点结束。

　　另外在时间或条件从句中，一般只能用一般现在时表示将来的动作

　　例：Turn off the lights before you leave. 走前关灯。

　　4、在少数情况下，已发生的动作也可以用一般现在时来表示，但只限于少量动词，如hear, say, tell等。

　　例：I hear you're moving. 听说你要搬家了。

　　They tell me it's a fascinating film. 他们告诉我这是一部迷人的影片。
