Husband: Honey, don't be so cross. It's just we four buddies playing cards at Tom's.
丈夫：宝贝，别生气了。就是我们4个人在汤姆家玩玩牌而已。
Wife: It's past one o'clock. And please tell me what's so fun about poker?
妻子：都1点多了，扑克到底有什么好玩的？
Husband: Well, it's a deck of 52 cards, with four suits, heart, club, spade, and diamond...
丈夫：一副牌有52张，4种花色，分别是红桃，梅花，黑桃，方片……
Wife: Spare me that. It's common sense.
妻子：行了，不用说了，这谁都知道。
Husband: Well, we played Texas hold'em tonight. Imagine defeating all with a trump; it provides an enormous amount of satisfaction. And we may one day make it to the World Series of Poker!
丈夫：我们今天玩的是德州扑克。想象一下用一张王牌击败所有的人，让人无比满足呀。没准我们哪天还能参加世界扑克大赛呢！
Wife: Oh, you are a group of enthusiasts!
妻子：真是一群狂热分子！
Husband: Maybe next time you should come and play with us.
丈夫：要不下次你来和我们一起玩吧。
Wife: I have no problem with you playing poker. Just don't be so late again.
妻子：你玩扑克我没意见。只是下次别再回来这么晚了。
