New round of Iran nuclear talks held in Montreux, Switzerland
新一轮伊朗核谈在瑞士举行
Representatives from Iran, and the so-called “P5+1” countries—the US, China, Russia, France, Britain and Germany—have held a new round of nuclear talks in the Swiss city of Montreux.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Thursday that they were moving closer to a nuclear deal but added that there were details that needed to be worked out. And senior Iranian nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi said an agreement is possible only if the imposed sanctions against the country are lifted all at once.
After missing self-imposed deadlines twice, Iran and the six world powers agreed in November to extend the deadline for another seven months, hoping to reach a deal on Iran’s nuclear program.
