3. Women Living in Chernobyl
生活在切尔诺贝利的女性
When the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded in 1986, the 18-mile area around it was deemed uninhabitable and the Soviets resettled the 18,000 residents, but over the years a determined few babushkas (older women) came back to live in the restricted area. Whether nostalgic, stubborn, or just plain crazy, 230 so-called "self-settlers" remain.
自切尔诺贝利核电站爆炸后，其方圆18英里的区域内均不再适合人类居住了，苏联得重新安置这18000位居民。但这些年来，一些顽固的巴布什卡妇女（年长的妇女）又搬回到这禁地里居住。也许是怀旧，也许是固执，或只是纯粹的疯狂，这230位号称“自由移居”的人，就这样在这定居了。
