Usage：~sb (on sth)
Ex. to tell sb that you like or admire sth they have done, their appearance, etc

短语精讲：
1.watch for
精解：watch在这里是“小心”的意思，for表示对象，watch for的意思就是“对......小心，对......留心”。介词for后面可以接somebody，也可以接something。
例句：The doctor told her towatch forsymptoms of measles.
医生告诉她留意麻疹的症状。
Watch forthe milkman. I want to pay him today.
帮我留意一下送牛奶的,今天我要付钱给他。
2.help out
精解：副词out有“出来”的意思，help是帮助的意思，help out直接翻译就是“帮助出来”，意思即：帮助解除难题，解围，帮助摆脱困境，救出等等。这个短语可以单独使用，也可以在动词help后面接somebody。
例句：A good dictionary willhelp outin one's reading.
一部好词典对阅读是有帮助的。
There was only a young girl tohelp outin the kitchen.
厨房里只有一个年青的女孩帮忙。
If you don'thelp me out, I'm going to blow your brain out.
如果你们不帮助我解决问题，我就要把你们打得脑袋开花。

3.pay for
精解：pay是“付钱”的意思，for是表示“原因”，pay for的意思就是“为......而付款”。它可以单独使用，也可以在动词pay的后面加上something，介词for的后面加上somebody，意思是“付多少钱给某人”，这时候for就不是表示原因了，表示的是对象。
例句：I will use the prize money to helppay formy education.
我要用这笔奖金支付部分学费。
His folks will neverpaytwo thousand dollarsforhim.
他的家人决不会拿两千块钱来赎他。
4.design house
精解：house在这里不是“房屋”的意思，是“公司”的意思，指“商业机构”。design house意思就是“设计公司”。例如：a fashion house是指“商店”，a banking house是指“银行”。
5.right over
精解：right over属于副词性短语，意思是“立刻，马上”，相当于right away, at once等等。
例句：After describing the dog to her in detail, she wanted to comeright over.
我详细描述了狗的情况，她表示想立刻来我家。
When the teacher told Jane her mother dead, she keeledright over.
当老师告诉简她母亲去世的消息时，她立即昏了过去。
6.push around
精解：push是“催逼”的意思，around有“到处”的意思，这短语直接翻译就是“处处逼某人”，那么push around就是“摆布，欺负”的意思。

7.be hard for
精解：hard是形容词，是“艰难”的意思，for是介词在这里表示对象，be hard for意思是“对某人来说艰难或者困难”。
例句：Itis hard forme to speak of her at any time.
我任何时候谈起她心里都不好过。
Itis hard fora child to hold still while being photographed.
要小孩子照像不动是很困难的。
8.know about
精解：know是动词，意思是“知道”，介词about是“关于”的意思，know about的意思就是“知道关于......的情况，获悉关于......的情况”。在使用时，介词about后面可以接somebody，也可以接something。
例句：Why did you apply to our organization and what do youknow aboutus?
你为什么申请本公司的职位，你对本公司的情况了解多少？

9.lie to
精解：lie是“撒谎”的意思，to这里表示对象，lie to的意思是“对某人撒谎”。如果要表示“就某事对某人撒谎”，可用lie to somebody about something。
例句：It appears that what I said was untrue, but I did not knowinglylie toyou.
看来我说错了, 但是我并非故意向你撒谎。
I can'tlie tomyself, I don't want tolie toyou, so I tell you the truth.
我不能对自己撒谎，我也不愿对你撒谎，所以我告诉你实情。
10.speak from
精解：speak是“说”的意思，from有“来自”的意思，两者合用意思是“凭......说”，台词中说到的是speak from my experience，意思是“凭我的经验说，依我的经验说”。
例句：I never write a lecture butspeak froma few notes.
我从来不写讲稿，只是照着简单的提纲讲。
Speak from memory, Mary broke the flower vase.
印象中记得是Mary打坏花瓶。
11.admit to
精解：admit是“承认”的意思，介词to是表“对象”，如果它后面接something，意思就是“承认某事情”。如果在动词admit后面接somebody，to后面接something，那么意思就是“对......承认，坦白”。
例句：The police tortured him to make himadmit tothe crime.
警察拷打他，逼他承认罪行。
He refused toadmit tobreaking the window.
他拒绝承认打破窗户。
12.come to you with something
精解：come to sb意思是“去找某人”，介词with在这表伴随状况，come to sb with something意思就是“找某人有某事”。
例句：Marycame to the teacher withsome words hurt by Rose.
Mary找到老师说Rose伤害她的话。
13.the next time
精解：这个短语的意思是“下一次”，在台词中它相当于引导词，后面跟一个从句，意思是“下一次什么事情发生的时候”。
例句：Give your father my complimentsthe next time you see him.
下次你见到父亲时，请代我问候他。
14.send sb to sb
精解：send to的意思是“送到，发送到”，连个单词的后面都跟有somebody，意思就是“把某人带到某人那里，把某人交到某人手中”。
例句：You mustsent him to his motherin person.
你一定与要亲自把他交到她母亲手中。
