【口语积累】
1. 众筹 crowdfund
crowd就是“众”，fund做名词是“基金”，做动词就是“筹”，即“为……提供资金”。跟fund类似表示“为……提供资金”的词还有finance。会采用“众筹”这种方式的一般都是“初创企业”或“创业公司”，英文可以说venture，或startup。
I started a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for my new business venture.
我开始为自己的初创公司众筹。
Thanks to crowdfunding, we were able to raise enough money to publish our first book.
幸好有众筹，我们才有足够的钱出版自己的第一本书。
The building project will be financed by the government.
这个建筑项目将由政府出资。
Starting a new business is always a risk, but the potential rewards of running a successful startup are well worth it.
创业总是有风险，但是办好一家初创公司的潜在回报值得我们冒险去尝试。
2. 周边 merchandise
merchandise指的是“商品”，简写为merch。电影《满江红》的周边我们就可以说the Full River Red movie merch。
You can buy T-shirts and other merch at concerts.
演唱会现场你可以买到T恤和其他周边。
The Avengers movie merchandise line features everything from Iron Man masks to Captain America shields.
《复仇者联盟》的电影周边有钢铁侠面具、美国队长盾牌等各种产品。
My favorite piece of Friends merch is the Central Perk coffee mug.
我最喜欢的《老友记》周边是中央公园咖啡馆的马克杯。
3. 奸臣 traitor
秦桧被认为是历史上的奸臣，我们可以说他是一个traitor（背叛者，卖国贼），还可以说 treacherous这个形容词来形容。
在口语218期中我们还介绍过“反面人物”可以用villain。而岳飞我们可以说他是一个heroic general（爱国将军）。
形容秦桧“坏”，我们可以用wicked（邪恶的，缺德的）、evil（凶恶的，邪恶的）、vicious（凶残的，恶毒的）、despicable（卑鄙的）等来描述，此外还可以用infamous（臭名昭著的）来形容他。
Qin Hui is considered a treacherous minister in Chinese history.
秦桧被认为是历史上的奸臣。

4. 下架 take sth off the shelves
产品“下架”可以很形象地用take sth off the shelves，“从架子上拿下来”来表示， 但是注意，fly/jump off the shelves是指“卖得很快，很受欢迎”，hit the shelves即“上架，上市”。“下架”还可以用recall（召回）或withdraw（撤回）来表示。
The product has been taken off shelves due to safety concerns.
这款产品因为安全隐患被下架。
The new iPhone is jumping off the shelves even though it's $1,000.
虽然售价高达1000美元，新款iPhone还是卖得很快。
Her new book hit the shelves yesterday, and it's already sold out in most bookstores.
她的新书昨天刚上架，今天很多书店就售罄了。
The company has recalled all the faulty hairdryers.
公司回收了所有有问题的吹风机。
