China welcomes the nuclear agreement
中国对核协议表示欢迎
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi voiced support for the agreement in Vienna, calling it proof that the international community can succeed through dialogue.
"The Iranian nuclear negotiators have reached a comprehensive deal. It is fair to say that this 13-year-long marathon finally reached the finishing point. Today represents a historical day," Wang said.
"The most important outcome today is that we reached a comprehensive deal on the Iranian nuclear issue which forcefully upholds the international non-proliferation system. It also helps improve Iran's relations with various countries."
"Most crucially, it shows to the international community that we can resolve major international disputes and issues through dialogue and negotiations. This surpasses the deal itself."
